Many workers feel very drowsy in the afternoon after they eat lunch. People who are drowsy after lunch have a tendency to be less productive. They are also more likely to suffer a slip and fall injury or manufacture a faulty product. Some mistakes that occur in the workplace can lead to lawsuits, which is why it is important for all businesses to have liability insurance.

The good news is that there are a number of things that can be done to prevent that after-lunch drowsiness. Workers who are less drowsy after lunch have a tendency to be more productive, which make the business more competitive. Below are some tips that will prevent the after-lunch drowsiness:

Whole grain cereals, fruits, yogurt and whole grain bread are examples of some of the healthy food choices that you can make.

Avoid Fast Food

Fast food tastes good, and it can give you a temporary burst of energy. However, it can cause you to feel very sluggish after awhile because it lacks essential nutrients. That is why you want to eat nutritious foods during lunch. Beans, nuts, whole grains, lean poultry carrots, celery and broccoli are some of the foods that you may want to consider eating for lunch.
