A home insurance company may also reimburse you for the actual cash value of the item instead of the replacement value. If you add a rider to your home insurance policy, then you will be able to get reimbursed for the replacement cost of your items.
- Life Insurance: Many people are fortunate enough to get life insurance through their employer. However, this is often not enough to cover final expenses and the cost of living for one’s dependents. You may want to review your life insurance coverage and make sure that is seven to 10 times your annual income.
